To Our Lady of Good Counsel Church Family located in Purok 3, Mailag, Valencia City. We hope you have an enjoyable visit at our website, so feel free to browse around, particularly if you are a visitor or new to Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish. We are a community of people, walking together in faith, worship, education and service. We strive to be an effective sign of Jesus’ presence within our community through the various ministries within our parish. we are friendly and a welcoming community! Church History
1940’s- Before the out break of World War II, Mailag was already a missionary area. Mrs. Rosario Pace – lot donor the people built a small chapel.Vicitacion Fernandez Alvarez ,Cebuana donated an image of the Blessed Virgin of the Holy Rosary. Eucharistic Celebration done by the missionary priest in every 1st Sunday of the month. Fr. Dowd SJ. decided to hold the feast on the 1st Sunday of October, month of the Holy Rosary. Year 1945 when liberation time came, the people came back to Mailag, the statue was brought back again and was placed in the small chapel.
Services
The Parish also held Baptism and Baptism Class. Parents who request Baptism for their child are asked to attend one meeting on the Sacrament of Baptism in order to understand more fully the privilege and responsibility that comes with being a Catholic Christian parent. Everyone goes up to the Eucharistic service in the Church in time for Holy Communion and the children stay with their families in the church for the remainder of the service.

Development
The Church is on the process of physical development renovation. Continue the on-going construction until its completion( ceiling & painting). Renovation and Extension of Auditorium. 3. Landscape the front view and side of the auditorium. Creation of offices of the Apostolate. Purchase a portable sound system. Purchase a vehicle for formation teams.
